About me

I'm Joey, 21 years old, and I'm passionate about music. My musical education, made possible by my grandparents, began with private piano lessons in 2011. Back then, I was only interested in being able to play and pretended to my teacher that I could read music—which I couldn't.
 
In 2019, I started at the BORG Wr. Neustadt high school. Six years later, in 2025, I graduated. During that time, I absorbed everything I could: theory, practice, history—you name it. I was completely captivated.

There, I also learned to play guitar in the broadest sense: first classical guitar, but this skill set is also very helpful for other stringed instruments such as electric guitar, electric bass, upright bass, or even ukulele. However, I can play most freely and well on the piano.

Alongside my schooling and other commitments, I obviously also dedicated myself to music and production in my free time from an early age. Made possible primarily by a former roommate of my uncle's, who downloaded Ableton for me. Together, we were able to explore music and sound design in the hi-tech/psycore scene in a formative and impressive way, and learn how to use the software.

Over the years, I've made music on and off, occasionally releasing it and sometimes taking it down again. With this mixtape, I want to change that and take my journey step by step towards my true calling.
